Optimal Waste-to-Energy Strategy Assisted by Fuzzy MCDM Model for Sustainable Solid Waste Management

In Vietnam, rapid population and economic growth are responsible for the recent increase in solid waste. Energy production from waste is now becoming an effective solution around world, especially to solve environmental challenges while contributing country’s sustainable energy production. Waste-to-energy has become a municipal problem, which projected by 10–16%. this study, author proposed fuzzy MCDM model assess select solid-waste-to-energy plant location Vietnam. first stage, analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) technique utilized analyze relative weight of primary secondary evaluation elements, combined compromise (CoCoSo) used rank candidates final stage. This selection renewable project Vietnam based on expert interviews literature review. study’s contribution can be significant guide analyzing selecting appropriate locations projects, as well decision makers investors other projects throughout world.
